Put it to you this way, I'd like a standard torch that uses AA or AAA batteries and was small enough to hang around my neck, does that help?

thanks again

Well this is the next ligt i was going to get on my list......it uses an awesome Cree P4 emitter which does put on some light.....and with a longer lanyard you can put this around your neck with no problems......and just to let you know that this light is bright........

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.11133

And this is also a nice one as well......It can take do one double A without the extension handle and two double A's with the extension handle......so far it has gotten good reviews.

This one uses a Cree Emitter and runs on one triple A........should be bright enough then what your used to.

Why use a lux when you can get a cree and be much happier. And please dont let the double A's or triple A's fool ya, cree powered emitters use booster boards under the led........so the same brightness for two cells will be the same for one but shorter runtimes.

Just to let you know that your not going to find it cheaper anywhere else.....and two weeks go by fast, especially when your looking forward to getting something in the mail....lol. Let me know what you get, i can send you an orange tailcap which looks better then the black....depending on the torch of course.

you know, actually personally for me... I prefer to use the crappiest little lights i can find. for one, I'm kind of a cheapo when it comes to alot of things. two, I like to have as little light shining around during an investigation... i always worry about these really bright lights reflecting around and off of things you might not expect which might cause some false positives on nearby cameras or in an investigators eyes. to me, we really can't rely on our eyes too much anyway, as long as the cameras have good illum, thats all i really worry about.

Well im with you on that one.....i just use them to navigate.....dont want to fall into a hole now....lol.....im 5 foot 7 and it would be really funny if i was trying to climb out of a grave. I like using something that i know will work when i push the clicky, dont want to be caught in the dark with no light.

the little LED light I usually bring and hang around my neck cost me €2 :D (found another one to replace my old on in my wifes car)

If the light is too bright you can always do what i do and put a soda bottle cap on the bezel of the flashlight......i like going with the blue....this will act as a light diffuser and works pretty good.....just a tip.

Its the best thing you can.....since you can get different colors, lol......and its also the poor mans way, since a diffuser can cost up too 10-15 bones.
