I have one more coming and i think that will be it for awhile, maybe until the Q5 emitter becomes cheaper. Yes that SS seems to have great reviews over on the candlelight forums.......all they talk about is flashlight collecting and some of them have way too much as it is.....lol.....i just have too many hobbies to be collecting one thing.....so how are you doing bud, hope all is well with you.

Doing really good, Al. Just busy getting the radio network running and preparing for the Waverly Experience. Hopefully we'll be able to do the live audio AND video feed from Waverly while we're there.

Well here's my EDC collection so far....they use one AA battery, great for indoor investigations because there not bulky or big.......and edc stands for every day carry.

just added the RR 1watt to my collection as well......they make very good lights even though they use Luxeon emitters. You can get them at target for 25bones. Pick one up if you have the extra cash, they come with a neck lanyard and also a clip, makes for a very good backup light.

Thanks man.......i know members would rather spend a bit more on other equipment but in the dark i would rather have a light that i can trust and know it works. Think of it as a security blanket in time of need.

You should know that there is a law in Ky about using spotlights outdoors. The Department of Fish and Wildlife got the a law past making the use of spotlights outdoors for non aggricultural purposes illegal. The game wardens are the only LEOs likely to hassle you over them but it something to keep in mind. They did this so the wardens did not have to actually prove you were trying to poach deer to get a fine out of you.

Good Evening .
i noticed one person mentioned using a red light filter for the end of their flash lights . thats my preference also. it gives you enough light to see by and intefers a lot less with any IR cameras you have hooked up. of course when you arent in the room or hallway where you have IR set up it doesnt matter as much.
i have a small hand held light about the length of your palm and a slighlty larger one that is approx 7 inches in length .
Both have a camo pattern on the outside and are LED.
Just an opinion of mine :D
Have a great weekend

Yes i know what you mean.....i use a red bottle cap for that which works well, i also use white cap to diffuse some of the light since the lights i use are bright.

Just wanted to post some of the new lights that i have......

Here are my most recent lights that i have acquired, Two Coleman Max lights that use a cree emitter and the other with white, red, and blue led's........the yellow is a Ledlenser Frogman.

From top to bottom in battery usage and emitter.........

Ledlenser Frogman- 4 AAA's and uses a luxeon......big spot with no spill at all.....im digging it so far.

Coleman Max with red and blue led's - im guessing a Cree P3 emitter and runs on 3 AAA's......good overall light with small spot and lots of spill. Heres a pic of the three led's.

Image

Coleman Max- 2AA's bigger spot because of the reflector, just wish it was brighter.

And i was finally able to put all my batts into one case......as you can see i have a backup light in there as well........
