Well anyway:
Dreams and security clearance aside, from a tech department
aspect the fact that there are five ring corridors per floor, times five floors, only
counting the ones that we know about, it comes to 17.5 miles of hallways. It has 8,999 windows, which would most likely be on the outer and inner most corridors, this means there is potential for a lot of outside light pollution, making camera setup on the outtermost corridor practically useless, but it could be done if
activity is reported in that area. Now assuming activity was reported in the entire building, which would be really cool, you would want to cover the entire building. The length of each
outer wall is 921 feet, and because we can assume it is a perfect pentagon they would all be the same length, with the inner corridors getting slightly shorter the further they went in towards the middle. So Figure with 100 foot long range cameras you would need at least nine on each side of the building per corridor/per floor, so your looking at 1125 long range cameras!! Which would be quite a feat! And figure into that the fact that there are over a thousand offices, again that we know about, 500 bathrooms! and a bunch of other nooks and crannys your probably looking at another 1-2 thousand short range ir cameras. Plus cable to run from all the cameras, lets call it about 80 miles of cable. Then you would need a whole crap load of DVR's and Hard
Drives to record all of those cameras.
So i completely agree that it would be awesome to investigate there, not only to be able to say you did it, but to be able to say you have over 3 thousand cameras and 80 miles of
cable in your arsenal, that would be great!!!
Cherie you have a nice weekend too!!!
