BLACKLIGHTS AND THE DETECTION OF THE PARANORMAL

Postby MisticDragon on Fri Jan 25, 2008 11:39 pm

A few months back I read an article about a paranormal group testing the effects of a blacklight during an investigation. There theory is that a certain color or a combination of colors attract ghosts. Now there's some truth to this. if youve ever heard of reiki or healing touch you know your body has chakras. Chakras are basically subtle energy channels that run through the body. Colors range from red, yellow, green, purple, blue, orange. We've all seen pictures taken on investigations where there's a red or orange field behind a person or object. And as we all know there are positive and negative colors from black being negative to white be the most positive. So if we lived a positive life would we be attracted to those positive colors? Since blackights occupy the lowest and least visible spectrum of light why are the ghosts so attracted to this? We have been testing this theory in some of our investigations and have come up with mixed results. We have investigated the same location with and with out the blacklight and have seen more activity with the light on. But am not going to say positively that the light caused the increase in activity. So has anyone else hard of the blacklight being used in investigations? And what do you think about this theory?

The theory is intriguing. We've never tried the black light as of yet, but it sounds very interesting. What about the heat issue?

I have heard about it but I haven't done enough reading to really know much else about it. The whole thing with chakras, colors, and blacklights seems pretty interesting.

I wouldn't say that we know that colors are positive or negative in nature... but we can at least speculate.

I think there is still alot to be discovered in the areas of the spectrum that isn't visible to the human eye. Mostly everyone is focused on the near-infrared... but I'm sure there are still areas of the UV that have potiential for the paranormal.

As far as attracting entities or increasing activity... I don't think I've seen anything that leads me to believe you can add to the environment to increase activity... whether that be ion generators or white noise... its always worth testing, but I just haven't seen anything that gives it validity yet, myself.

I have had groups use the black lights here to enhance what you can see on video. When you use the black light along with the Sony videocameras that have night shot, the room is completely lit up while you are still investigating in the dark. It works very well. It was a trick shown to me by KPI- Kentucky Paranormal Investigations, a group from Lexington.
