Personally, myself or HPIR really have never considered it a top
priority to plan an investigation around such events. Rather, our investigations are planned around more
pressing issues. The biggest being...convenience. We at HPIR all have day jobs, and so do our clients...therefore we have to schedule investigations generally in the evening or at night...many time on weekends...in order to just be able to GET IN THERE, lol. Also, we investigate many businesses, all of which only want investigations afterhours.
Other
factors we take into consideration are times of the day or year when activity is reported by the client to be at its highest. One of our on-going investigations is at a
dental office where activity is highest in early spring/early fall. We also take into account urgency. If the client is needing
assistance right away, we aren't going to wait until the next full moon or solar
flare before we schedule an investigation.
Anyway, we record all this information, but to date, we really haven't been able to see any correlation to increased activity. In order for us to even ATTEMPT to find a correlation, we'd have to investigate the same property over and over again, with the exact same people in the exact same mindset with as few
variables as humanly possible...a feat that really isn't feasible at this point, lol. We do bill ourselves as a research group as well as investigatory...but right now we're so backed up with client
requests that we can't even begin to think about setting up any long (and I do mean LOOONG) term
experiments right now, lol.
