Mine is hand held too, That will be great, If you could tell me the type and model of the unit, I will try to get as much info about it before we go to Waverly so I will be fimilar. Also if you have a way of recording live images, please let me know.

hi Dennis,

Sorry for the delay, it's an IRISYS model IRI4010, and it can't record moving images, it has an SD card and you can save an image and stick it on your PC, colour or B&W, but it requires some sort of homebrew application to read the images, they dont just read as jpegs, you need to convert them on the software,

OK, so I can't find floor plans of the place on my own. Help, anyone? If I can get the floor plans... all I have to do is scan them, or if they're already digital, just put them as a jpeg and I'm off any away in the wonderful world of digital mapping.

I'll have to get them from Waverly. I don't think they're on the web anywhere. I'll see if I can get a copy of them and get them to you, Jeremy.

That'd be great... I'm planning on creating sectors that we can all agree on and provide copies of them to everyone. That way we can mark down what we see, where, and at what times while being able to compare later where everyone was and where the equipment was located. Hopefully this will give us a jumpstart on debunking the mundane and figuring out how many/which cameras or recorders might have covered an area when we did actually see something.

Jeremy, once we get the floorplans, let's work together on this. I am working on the overall logistics of the investigation, and already have some things in the works. This will be fun! :)

No equipment here as this will be my and my hubby's first official investigation :) However, it's my understanding that KAPS will graciously be teaching us to use their equipment and get our feet wet :) I do have to say I am a bit jealous of everyong having some sort of equipment of their own to bring, in due time I suppose :)

Yep, in due time. Grab a digital camera and digital recorder and give it a try. Heck most of the best evidence has been gotten with these two simple items that most people already have. This is the best equipment for the money by far.

I think that should be sufficient, Stoner. We'll have a bunch of stationary IR cameras set up, so I wouldn't worry about bringing those. We should have the place pretty much saturated from that standpoint. It sounds like you have the perfect amount of stuff in mind. If you can bring your thermal imaging camera, that would be great!!
