Hey all, I used to give tours and did security at Waverly.
I also have what is likely the most extensive collection of Waverly history.
With that said, here are some places I'd recomend, and why.
5th floor East wing - This was the surgery/recovery wing (marked on the map. This area goes from the double
doors in the hallway right near room 423 (the glowing room) all the way to the
operating room. But is not strictly confined to just this area. The large room across the hall from the O.R. was (to my knowledge) the main recovery room for immediately after the operation. I do have multiple death certs that show that the
patient died soon after surgery.
Many "shadow figures" can easily be attributed to optical illusion, but maybe not all of them.
Another area:
The 3rd floor, for at least part of the time this area housed the far advanced
cases as stated in Dr. Stewart's autobiography.
" I was assigned to the third floor where I had 106 beds, most of them full at all times. We had alot of deaths then, mostly
soldiers who were coming back from the war in about 1946 and 1947. They were so far advanced that some of them didn't live more than a week after arriving at Waverly."
Add to this that Dr Stewart signed many death
certificates durring this time
frame in which the cause of death was Far Advanced Pulmonary Tuberculosis.
