41 patients with the surname Jones, we have death certs for all but 5.
There was also Dr. Boyce Jones who was listed in the 54/55 fiscal report.
Sorry I missed ya.

Several names are on the memorial:
http://p086.ezboard.com/bwaverlytruth
I have many names to add but still have some sorting to do before we get to that step.
I will also eventually have all of the info on my database:
http://freepages.history.rootsweb.com/~ ... orial.html
Here is an example of what I'm working on achieving:
http://freepages.history.rootsweb.com/~ ... Stats.html
But it's taking awhile with me being the only person working on organizing and adding the data at the same time that my wife and I are still searching for more certificates and names.
Hope this helps.

No problem at all.
I don't see anyone with either spelling at this time, but we do still have several years to search through.

Could you tell me if there were any persons with the last name 'Dawson' admitted as a patient there?

Miss Ella Dawson died at Waverly in 1913
Mary Dawson died at Waverly in 1940
Susan Dawson died at Waverly in 1912

That's all we have at this time.

OK, just getting some official possible confirmation of what was relayed to me via my mother... Mary (Beth) Dawson would have been her aunt. She said that she had died from TB during that time, and had stayed at WHS at some point, but wasn't sure if she had actually died there or somewhere else later on.

gives me quite a bit more perspective on this investigation.

The Mary in question was a Dawsom by marrage (to George Dawson)
She was 38 when she died of Pulmoary TB (6 years) and TB Colitis (6 months) after 132 days as a patient of staff at Waverly.
(attended from 10 Oct 1939 and died on 19 Feb 1940)
She was burried at Resthaven Cemetery.
Does this still sound right?

Ester Leachman died at Waverly in 1945.
And you're very welcome.
